The nutrients sections in the DayTwo app can tell you more about the breakdown of your meals each day.

You can find the first nutrient section in the main food diary screen. Look for the word “nutrients” located at the top of your screen, just below the calories. Tap it and it will reveal your calories, carbs, fat, protein, fiber, and sodium you have logged for the day.

If you would like to see the nutrient breakdown of each meal, simply select a meal, and locate the apple icon at the top right of the screen. When this is selected, a window will open to show you detailed nutrient information for that particular meal.

While there’s not a general suggestion for carbohydrate, fat, or protein amounts per day, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does have recommendations for both sodium and fiber. The CDC recommends sodium should stay under 2,300 mg a day for adults, and fiber intake should be around 22-34 grams per day. Talk with your doctor or dietitian to get advice specific to you!
