The Food Pyramid, a chart first published in the 1990s in the United States, illustrating the amount of food we should eat on a daily basis, was replaced with the USDA’s MyPlate in 2011.
The updated model gives an easier view of how to eat healthy, balanced meals. It also shows what a portion should look like on a 9-inch plate.
