It is easy to add recipes to your DayTwo app – whether you are making a family meal or creating a meal planning for the week.

We’ll use the chicken fajita casserole recipe as an example.

  1. Open up your DayTwo app. Select the blue plus button in your app menu to open up the search.

    2. Enter in all of the recipe ingredients with the full amount listed as if you were creating a meal in your food diary (remember you don’t need to include water or spices).

    3. Next, select the chef’s hat at the top right of your screen. Use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the servings. In this example, the recipe has eight servings.

    4. From here, select Log and choose the day you plan to eat it (you can log meals in the future if you plan to have this on a day other than today). If you want to save this as a favorite, change the name to make it easier to find in the future. Then select the blue star before you save.

    5. Your recipe will automatically log as one serving in your diary. You can go back into your diary and change the serving if you eat more or less. Notice calories and scoring will change as you adjust.

All recipes you create and save in favorites will live in your Recipes collection in your app so logging it again in the future is fast and easy.

If a recipe scores less than 8 (after splitting into servings), try using Max!

Max is an in-app tool that can help you improve meals that score less than 8. Look for the purple icon just to the left of the star at the top of your screen. You can select the suggested adjustments that you want and then hit apply.

Keep in mind, your recipe must have at least 3 ingredients for Max to make suggestions.
